Conference Moderated by NBC 10 News Anchor Tracy
Davidson
(October 7, 2005) KSG Strategic Consulting Founder and CEO, Kesi Stribling, served as an
essay judge for submissions by Temple University students for the 6th Annual Temple
University League for Entrepreneurial Women Conference.
Ms. Stribling judged essays submitted by Temple University students answering the
question: What is one attribute necessary for success as an entrepreneur? The first prize
winner received $500 from the League.
“It was an honor to judge the essays,” stated Stribling, an entrepreneur whose company,
KSG Strategic Consulting, helps clients with strategic planning, staff training and
development, and marketing and public relations. She continued, “Deciding to become an
entrepreneur can be daunting because of the many potential obstacles. The essays
submitted reflect that Temple University’s students are already thinking about the
necessary skills to overcome those challenges.”
The essay competition was a part of the 6th Annual Temple University League for
Entrepreneurial Women held on Temple University’s campus on Thursday, October 6,
2005. Marjorie Brody, founder of Brody Communications, served as the conference keynote
speaker.
A panel discussion of local entrepreneurs focused on the successes, challenges, and skills
needed to be a successful entrepreneur. Panelists included Melissa Wieczorek, chef/owner of
Á la Maison Personal Chef Service; Concetta Varallo, chef and owner of Philadelphia
restaurants Io E Tu Ristorante and Ristorante Pesto; and, Rebecca Davis, founder and
artistic director of The Rebecca Davis Dance Company.
