(Washington, DC) August 5, 2009 My name is Kesi and I am a Technoholic. With these words,
KSG Strategic Consulting President, Kesi Stribling, issued a challenge to other Technoholics - those
individuals constantly connected by email, texting, Tweets, and Facebook: Pick Up the Phone.

Stribling announced the challenge on her Midweek Musings blog today (
www.myspace.com/ksgsc),
urging professionals and students alike to put down the keystroke and pick up a phone to
communicate with others.

"While I make light of my own story about being a Technoholic, constant connection, and in some
cases, addiction to technology, can ravish relationships," said Kesi Stribling. In an effort to encourage
people to take one day off from using emails, texts, and communicating via social networking sites,
the self-professed Technoholic wants Americans to use a more traditional method to reach out to
others on
Thursday, August 27: the telephone.

Stribling urges employees to use Pick Up the Phone Day to have a conversation with a co-worker by
telephone, instead of an impersonal email. She also encourages parents to pick up the phone and call
children after school, rather than sending a text to find out if they have made it home safely.

"We take for granted the stimulation and socialization that come from having real, human
interaction, which results from a telephone or face-to-face conversation," Stribling opined. "Our
hope," she continued, "is that by taking one day to communicate by telephone we reconnect with
those who have a role in our lives beyond typing a message and pressing send. Let the real
conversations begin again."
