Opportunities | Partnerships | excellence

Conceptualized in 2004 by an entrepreneur and HBCU alumna, the Coalition grew out of conversations she had with small business owners who graduated from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). They had three distinctive things in common: Fierce tenacity, the ability to advocate effectively for themselves, and unflappable resilience despite barriers.

Officially launched in 2019, the HBCU CEO Coalition is now an organized community of HBCU alumni, corporate executives, nonprofit leaders, and corporations that

value and engage small businesses led by HBCU graduates.

ABOUT THE HBCU CEO COALITION

#PropelledNotStymied

our mission

It is estimated that 40% of minority businesses shuttered during the COVID-19 pandemic from February to April 2020. Now, more than ever, it is important to create new opportunities, form the right strategic partners and alliances, and enhance the infrastructure, workforce, and processes to operate in excellence.

the VISION

We have an aggressive, but achievable, vision to engage 1 million HBCU Founders, CEOs, and corporate decision-makers over the next decade to create a global network that purchases goods and services, mentors, and supports community members. Our vision is to have a presence on each continent over the next 10 years.

EVENTS

Join us for an upcoming event or program, including Global HBCU CEO Day in November, our monthly Virtual Speed Networking Events, mentoring programs, and community service activities. Visit our events page.

We look forward to seeing you! #meetgreetbemerry
